Jonas, the newest partner at Elm Street Ventures, brings a wealth of entrepreneurial experience and a passion for University-driven innovation.
Prior to joining Elm Street he was part of the founding team that built the Nelson Center for Entrepreneurship at Brown University and worked with hundreds of startup teams across a range of industries. He held a faculty appointment in the School of Engineering and his course, The Entrepreneurship Practicum, still serves as the capstone for students pursuing the popular Entrepreneurship Certificate at Brown. He continues to be an active mentor and advisor to a number of venture-backed companies.
At Elm Street he is a board observer for P2 Science, and is responsible for evaluating opportunities across a range of sectors with a particular focus on Engineering (advanced systems and materials), climate tech, and software.
Jonas received his B.A. from Haverford College where he also captained the baseball team and his MBA from the Yale School of Management where he focused on entrepreneurship and venture capital. Outside of Elm Street, you’ll find him spending time with his family or on a river fly fishing (or both). He is also passionate about environmental conservation and serves on the US Council for the Atlantic Salmon Federation.
